Free Music! Deer Tick show in Raleigh and more.

Deer Tick, a consistent blog favorite from Providence, Rhode Island, will play at Schoolkids Records on Hillsborough St. in Raleigh today at 3 p.m.

Their new album, Born on Flag Day, came out in June of this year.

Expect the store to be packed, but for the show to be great.

They will also play a show at the Local 506 on Franklin Street this evening, albeit not for free.

More free shows in Raleigh for the Cherry Bounce Festival:

TONIGHT, 9:30 p.m. there will be an all acoustic set featuring Brian Corum, Jason Kutchma and Matt Douglas at The Raleigh Times.

THURSDAY, Oct. 22, 10 p.m. Free Electric State, Gross Ghost and The Poles will play a WKNC showcase at Tir Na nOg in Raleigh.

SATURDAY, Oct. 24, starting at noon will be the following lineup playing at the Raleigh Times:

Sky Larkin (noon)

Old Avenue (1:45 p.m.)

Peggy Sue (3 p.m.)

The Balance (4:15 p.m.)

Schooner (5:30 p.m.)

Fin Fang Foom (6:45 p.m.)

The Hood Internet (8 p.m.)

Man Man (9:30 p.m.)

Raleigh Wide Open fireworks will follow
